Just looking at getting myself a scooter next year and doing some research. Looking to see how much the insurance would be and if it is worth my time to go for rider training such as the course offered by Durham college.

Looking at a scooter of at least 125 CC but probibly no more than 250.

I am 19 years old and wanting a gas powered scooter for local commuting and riding around college. How much does insurance on one of these run? If you do not have one currently insured then don’t answer because I know it is not the same as motorcycle insurance since scooters only get up to 45 mph. Thanks!
p.s. "who cares" I work for the state department full time and have the money for insurance. I am just wondering how much it runs because I like to be responsible with money. If the costs of insurance make up the savings in gas then it is not worth getting one.

The bike will most likely be a piaggio zip however may be a peugeot vivacity, not a speedfight as ive heard everyone nicks them so a lot of insurance. Im going to go for third party, fire and theft. i am looking to get a used honda ruckus scooter with 250cc motor, is that size motor still considered a scooter or motorcycle?
will i have to get a M1 or M2 license? and how much would insurance be?

I am looking for insurance for a 150cc Scooter. I can not find any companies that want less than 00 a year. Geico quoted me that, but I think they thought I had a motorcycle. Any ideas on companies?

I have a 80 cc scooter. I ride for "pleasure", not commuting far distance. Right now, I am renewing, but 0 for 1 yr. coverage is to high. I’m a college student, 20 yr. old. I didn’t take the driver course. Any students out there who have scooter insurance? what you have?
