thar are alot of people that aer not citisins that get insurance to drive new cars and trucks ,and i would like to know how i can finance a new motorcycle, whethout driving lincence? can you tell me how?

Question by Peter B: What is the approximate range of insurance rates on motorcycles?
There have been a lot of similar questions to this one, but I am interested in buying a motorcycle, however from what i’ve heard the insurance for motorcycles is expensive. Can somebody please just tell me an approximate range of the insurance rates on a motorcycles without refering me to a website to get a quote from. Just any kind of number range would be helpful.

Additional Info:
I live in Vegas, I am a 17 year old male, and I have no idea what my credit is (don’t even think I have one yet) if that matters.

first credit has nothing to do with it– the cheapest insurance for a bike is progressive my car insurance agent told me to go to them because they were higher as for a rate qoute you will have to go to the website because it is based on state laws and what is going on in your city age and type of bike —I am way older than you- live in Louisiana and have been riding since way before you were born and a new HD big twin is about 1400.00 per year if you were to ride the same sled you are looking at 2-2200.00 add more for a pocket rocket and just a note put full coverage on it and keep it up because you wreak it will save you from some hassles GL

I’m buying a 1974 Honda CB360 Bobber motorcycle, I’m 22 years old..have had 1 ticket in October for running a blinking red light at night, 1 speeding ticket that got dismissed in court and 1 speeding ticket that stuck a 65 in a 55. I bought a new 2009 GSXR600 today and I need some cheap insurance. I don’t care if it is 1300 a year just as long as it isn’t 4500. I refuse to pay 4500 a year on a motorcycle insurance. For that price I might as well bought two motorcycles.
I’ve tried Progressive and Geico. Both were ridiculously expensive.

lets say that you have a 250cc motorcycle for few years and the 250cc bike has a low rate on insurance ….later when you switch to a 600cc with the same insurance company ….will your rate be a little higher or your rate starts all over again like new motorcycles?

I am getting a motorcycle for my 16th birthday and i have a question about insurance.

My parents have State Farm, but they are ridiculously expensive with motorcycles. I got a good quote from Progressive, so i think im going with them.

What i need to know is; Would i be insured to drive my parents van? or would i have to pay separate insurance? I will need to drive it sometimes, as i am a musician who has equipment to haul sometimes. But the bike will be my main ride.

Does anyone know anything about renting scooters or motorcycles in Costa Rica for more than a day? What would I need to rent one? How much could I expect to pay?
